Common Solutions
In some cases, McMillan needs to completely repackage existing technology to meet application requirements. In most cases, however, we can take an existing product and make minor customizations to address your needs. These customizations often include:
- Alternate inlet and/or outlet fittings
- Specific electrical connectors
- Custom flow ranges
- Multiple units packaged as one SKU (for blending or mixing)
- Custom electronic enhancements
- Customized calibrations for different media
"Z" Code Designations
Any product that is customized for a customer will have a “Z” part number. This part number is built from the closest standard part number, appended with a “-Zxxxx” where “xxxx” is a 4 digit code indicating the custom requirements. For instance, a custom 50K-B-5L-G0 with a special fitting may be a 50K-B-5L-G0-Z9999. An additional specification sheet will be generated with the definition of the unique features of that custom part number, as well as an indication if it a proprietary product only available to one customer.
